Deer, It’s Not Just For Breakfast Anymore

Received this “en-deering” (sorry) video in my email.  It is so cute! Apparently, these people learned how to tame the shy beast. Ready to smile?? Click the start button already! :)

( Don’t worry, no animals were harmed during the making of this video.)

  • It doesn’t look like a short term thing. It would take the animals a while to be that trusting. It’s one thing to have food out…like on the ground, quite another to have it on a plate on the table. I get upset when I see people doing things like this, it causes lots of problems, and in the end the animals pay for the errors the people make. They aren’t being kind to the animals here.

Having camped, hiked, and backback for years I can tell you lots of stories where animals had to be killed because of man’s stupidity, ignoring rules about feeding animals is never a good thing.

  • Would you do us both a favor? I have nice thing to propose to you. I included your blog to my entrecard generator, I would love a favor in return to put my banner on your blog. If interested please grab it here: http://explorecomputerworld.blogspot.com/2005/10/entrecard-generator.html

  • Susan: Thank you for your comment. O yes, definitely, but I believe these people were camping (motorhome style) and had done this for a few days. You are correct in that it is not a good idea to encourage dangerous wild animals to come have breakfast with you, but I doubt that this short term thing damaged these animals. :) Thanks for stopping by!

  • Yes, it is cute to watch the deer eat from the table , but they still need to get their food on their own. They are wild animals, and unfortunately wild animals can become dependent on humans after awhile and then it is not such a good thing. They can become a problem. ie: bears! I hope the people in this video did not continue to do this on a regular basis, as it would hurt the deer in the end.

    Ahhh….that is so cute.
It is hard to imagine Deer actually being so trusting to humans.

  • Lordsberg Ministries: Thanks for the comment. Just an FYI, this was not MY video, it was sent to me in an email and I loved it so I posted it. I thought it was a very cool idea they had!
