I Was Hacked!!
Wow, I came home from vacation and found out that my Entrecard account had been deleted! While inquiring why this was so, they informed me that my site was redirecting users. Well I couldn’t figure out how this had happened, so I contacted Hostmonster, which is my web hosting company and they checked to see what was going on.
Apparently, I got hacked. Nightmare! It took me hours to figure out how to fix the problem, change passwords, etc, but now I am back up and running. I want to apologize to anyone that this may have caused inconveniences to and to my E-card droppers/readers/advertisers. The upside to all of you is that, since my account had to be reinstated, I was started at only 2 credits to advertise on my blog through Entrecard.. good for you, bad for me!
If you lost an ad spot due to this issue, contact Entrecard support and see what can be done to refund your credits. Thank you to those of you have started to come back around, I appreciate that.
Harrison: Thank you for the info. Yes, I DID find a couple of users on my WP and didn’t know where they came from. They have been deleted and I have upgraded. I just don’t get it though.. WHy? Huh… Thanks for stopping by and for taking the time to comment

6 months ago someone created a hidden user on my Wordpress blog. I found them and deleted them but it appears that this happened to many people who were using Wordpress. This is how your site got hacked. I hope you have upgraded to the latest Wordpress software, deleted any hidden users, and made it impossible for someone to register on your site.
Fish Hawk: Yeah I know! I was thinking the same thing. I have no idea why they would do that. It made me mad though!

I just don’t understand why someone would want to do something like that. Rob a bank–yes. Hack a site like yours–no. I mean, what is there to gain?
